Pegs
Using pegs, fresh out of the packet for my final installation looked too obvious, too new, too inauthentic, so I decided to age them by putting them in tea, to stain up. However, when I dried them out they still looked new, just darker, so I took them home and buried them in the garden to weather until the final installation. They remain there, like Cicadas, until I dig them out, dry them, and brush them down and utilise them to hang out the fabric in my final piece The Three Weavers. Fingers crossed the burial works.
