Artist of Interest - Sally Tennent-Brown

I am part of the collective of artists that make up Railway Street Studios in Newmarket. One of the current guest artists exhibiting is Sally Tennent-Brown. Although I am not particularly interested in her work or practice as a whole, I popped into the gallery to look at the details of her work. I was curious about the way she has used stitch, collage, upholstery fabric, her edgings, her irregular hanging edges and borders, her use of recycled materials, how her work hangs against the wall. Some interesting details even if the overall effect is not to my liking.
